Let’s get back to it.

Been sick for the better part of two years. Tomorrow I’m hoping I can start to turn it around.

I’ve had a goal to AA DDR Extreme. More precisely, to average a AA across all songs, 93% of all available DP. full.com.bo has a tracker for this precise goal so I’ve got it set up there and I’ve got a folder set up in ITGMania to make tracking it easier.

Coming out of Epstein-Barr, I finally got involved with a personal trainer who’s got me in the gym busting my ass, and I’m also doing some indoor bouldering. I’ve still got weight to lose, but I feel like I’m making the right decisions for increasing functional strength. This will be for the cardio and stamina pieces. I’m not a stamina player (in the vein of Stamina RPG) as such, because I don’t really care for the typical expected playstyle. Not a knock on those who do like it, I just like the greater range of motion that comes with the old ways. But I do want to make some longer charts so I’ve got some stamina-like stuff to work on. The patterns are really fun, like that old FUNRUN edit of era back in the day. We didn’t have (all of) the terminology back then that we have now, but no candles, no crossovers, on an old groove radar this would be all voltage and stream, no chaos or air.

So I’ve got a song pack that I’ve at least got BPMs for everything, one completed file with lowers. Whole pack is like 25 songs but I’m rethinking some of them and might just axe or replace some.

(Also note the thoroughly cursed pad layout. I’ve got a project I’m tinkering with to add this ‘cursed’ mode using all 9 arrows, as a mod to Simply Love called Simply Cursed. If I can get it to work, and get an editor to know what to do with it, I’ll make at least a few songs for it.)
